V-Tag component

V-Tag Fixed Location Tag

A known physical reference used by the V-Tag active RFID architecture to help associate movable asset tags with rooms, zones, or areas.

Component role

Fixed location tags provide known references

A V-Tag Fixed Location Tag represents a known physical reference in the active RFID environment. Typical placement may include walls, ceilings, fences, posts, or other approved points around the monitored location.

The system can use those references with asset tags and gateways to associate a movable tag with a relevant room, zone, or area. Location expectations should be validated in the actual facility before rollout.

Planning

Placement and coverage design matter

Fixed location tag placement should be designed around the building layout, desired zones, materials, asset movement, gateway coverage, maintenance access, and the location event the software needs to record.

For the full component architecture, see V-Tag active RFID.
